Tall sash windows in old terraces

Victorian and Federation terraces have tall, narrow double-hung windows set in deep reveals. A roller blind fitted inside the reveal sits neatly against the glass and leaves the old architraves on show. We measure every window at the top, middle and bottom, because a window that has stood for a hundred years is rarely square.

Bedrooms that open onto the footpath

A front bedroom a metre from the street needs privacy all day without living in the dark. A light-filtering or screen fabric gives you daylight and privacy; put a blockout behind it on a double blind and you have both, one chain each.

Warehouse conversions and big steel windows

Wide industrial windows and high ceilings make for long drops and heavy blinds. Motorised blinds save you wrestling a three-metre chain, and blinds side by side can be linked to move as one.

The back extension that faces west

Plenty of Inner West renovations end in a wall of glass doors facing the afternoon sun. A screen fabric cuts the glare and some of the heat while keeping the garden in view.

We measure, and we fit

We come to you with the real swatches, measure every window ourselves and fit what we supply. We do not hand your job to a subcontractor.

The consultation

Close to our workroom, the consultation is on us. Further out, a consultation fee of $100 to $250 books the visit, depending on your postcode, and every dollar of it comes off your order when you go ahead. Put your postcode into the builder and it tells you which applies.

Every blind, curtain and shutter is made to measure in Australia. Blinds and curtains carry the manufacturer’s five-year warranty plus two more years from us on every part except the fabric; shutters get ten years.
