Privacy policy.

Your name, phone number, email address, postcode, suburb and street address; the design you build with us, including rooms, window sizes, fabrics and options; your consultation booking; any notes you send us; photographs of your windows if we take them during a consultation, with your permission; and records of payments you make to us. We do not collect or store card details.

Directly from you: through our online builder, by email or phone, and during a consultation or installation.

Our builder keeps your progress in your own browser while you use it, and checks your postcode against a list held in your browser, not on a server. Our pages, including their fonts, are served from our own server; opening a page does not contact Google or any other outside service. The only cookie we set is for our own staff when they sign in to our back office. We set no cookies when you visit our website or use our builder, so there is nothing for which we need to ask your consent. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. To learn where our website can be clearer, our own server counts page visits, the website or link that brought a visit, whether the visit is on a phone, and how far through our builder it goes. It does this without cookies and without recording your name, your address, your IP address or anything else that identifies you; each browser tab is given a random number that is discarded when the tab is closed. If your browser is set to “do not track”, nothing is counted.

To prepare your estimate and quotation, book and attend your consultation, make, deliver and install your order, honour our warranty, keep our accounts, meet our legal obligations, and improve our service. To improve it, we analyse our enquiries, bookings and orders together, on our own systems in Sydney: what is asked for, where enquiries come from and which become orders. That analysis stays within Viewsetter; it is never sold or shared. If you do not give us the information we ask for, we may not be able to quote, measure or deliver.

Only the people who help us do the job: the manufacturers who make your order (sizes, specifications and, for delivered orders, your delivery address), couriers, the email and hosting services that run our website and send our emails, and our accountant. Our website and its records are kept on a server in Sydney. Information goes to the United States in these cases only: the service that sends our website's emails (Resend, based in the United States) handles your name, your email address and the emails we send you; if we switch on card payments, our payment provider (Stripe) receives your card details directly from you; and if we switch on the robot check on our forms (Cloudflare Turnstile), Cloudflare receives technical details of your browser. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. We also disclose information where the law requires it. We never sell or rent your personal information.

We will not send you marketing unless you have agreed to receive it, and every marketing email lets you unsubscribe.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it, including for warranty purposes and to meet record-keeping obligations such as tax law, which generally requires five years.

You may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing viewsetters@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
