A blind handles the light. A curtain handles the room.
Fabric is the fastest way to make a hard room feel finished.
Build your curtains.
Eight quick choices, a live preview of the room, and we come and measure anywhere in Sydney.
Which room?
Curtains do two completely different jobs, and the room tells us which one you are after.
Sheer or blockout?
A sheer keeps the light and takes the edge off. A blockout gives you the room back.
How well should it be built?
Three levels of cloth, heading and track. Each one opens its own range of fabric, and the whole home is made to the one level.
Now the good part.
Pick a colour and watch the room change. Switch the preview between day and night to see how it reads after dark.
How should it gather?
The heading is the fold at the top, and it sets how the whole curtain hangs. This is the choice people notice without knowing why.
How many fingers to a pleat?
Three is the fuller, more formal version. Two is quieter and uses a little less cloth.
How should the waves carry?
This is the runner system inside the track, and it decides whether the waves stay even after a year of use.
What is it hanging on?
A curtain is only as good as what holds it up. This is where most sagging tracks come from.
Track colour.
On an S fold the track is visible for its whole length, so it is worth matching to the ceiling or the joinery.
How heavy is the track?
Weight is what decides this, not price. A wide blockout curtain on a light track is exactly how a track ends up sagging in the middle.
How do you draw it?
How you open a curtain every day, and which way it stacks back when you do.
How long should the wand be?
It wants to fall about two thirds of the drop, so it is easy to reach without hanging into view.
And how you drive it.
Pick the handset. Sizing the motor to the weight of the curtain is our job, not yours.
Which way does it stack back?
Where the fabric gathers when the curtain is open. A one way stack is usually about clearing a door or a corner.
Roughly how big?
A rough tape measure is plenty. Measure the window itself and we will work out the fullness and the stack. Outside Sydney? Then measure properly, because we make it to your numbers.
How close to the floor?
Twenty millimetres off is the safe answer. It clears the carpet, it does not collect dust, and it still reads as floor length.
How is the hem weighted?
Weight at the bottom is what makes a curtain hang straight instead of drifting and creeping up the wall.
